The Subway Maracas Open Water Classic returns in 2026 for another exciting edition of Trinidad & Tobago’s premier open water challenge, proudly hosted by the Aquatic Sports Association of Trinidad & Tobago (ASATT). Set against the iconic backdrop of Maracas Bay, this annual event welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities to test their endurance, skill, and ocean confidence in one of the region’s most scenic open‑water venues.

Participants can choose from a range of distances, including the 500m First‑Timers event, 1,000m, 3,000m, and the signature 5,000m race. Early‑bird registration runs until 19 April, with all races starting from 7:30 AM onward on event day.

The Classic continues to promote safe, competitive, and enjoyable open‑water swimming, supported by on‑site medical teams, experienced officials, and a vibrant beachside atmosphere.
